Welcome to my new site.
I felt my first post should briefly be about me, not because I have a massive ego (it’s your average run-of-the-mill ego) but rather I wanted to introduce myself digitally to you, what I offer and more importantly why I created MusicTech-Knowledge.
I have been making electronic music for over ten years now using various different DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations). I have also studied two diplomas in Music Technology, worked as a freelance music producer, DJ-ed for two years and had the opportunity to work with various bands and artists.
As you might have already guessed, I have a strong passion for music and music technology. I get great pleasure out of creating music and I can spend hours developing a track, experimenting with different sonic possibilities and exploring musical creativity.
I also feel that this joy of creation is something that should be shared, actively encouraged and developed in others. This is the reason why I have launched this site, not only to offer lessons but also provide a free resource in music technology.
A lot of the topics I plan to write about have been learnt through my personal and professional life. I would like to pass on and explore these topics with the wider world as I understand how overwhelming options and topics surrounding music technology can be. If you've ever wondered what equipment to use for recording at home, what audio tools are used for mixing, how to use specific audio software or virtual instruments you have come to the right place.
I hope that this website will help to demystify music and music technology so that you can focus on being creative because ultimately that what it’s all about! Keep an eye out for future blogs which will delve into various different topics surrounding music and the art/science of music technology.
Thanks for reading.
